Welcome to Catch Up Zone (CUZ) ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CUZ mobile and web applications ("App") and related services ("Services"). By downloading, accessing, or using CUZ, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
To use CUZ, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required by your local laws).
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use CUZ.
2. Account Registration and Verification
- You register using your mobile number. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent via SMS for verification.
- You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your number.
- You agree not to use a number that you do not own or control.
- CUZ does not require passwords; your OTP verification acts as your secure login mechanism.
3. How CUZ Works
- CUZ connects users with their existing contacts using proximity-based matching and mutual consent.
- You may grant the App access to your contacts and location to enable matching.
- A handshake (mutual agreement on distance) is required before any connection is confirmed.
- CUZ will only notify you when both parties are online and both are within the agreed distance.
- CUZ does not provide in-app messaging or calling — calls occur through your device's native dialer.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use CUZ only for lawful and respectful purposes.
- Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Not use CUZ to stalk, harass, or harm others.
- Not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or hack any part of the system.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy matters deeply to us. CUZ is built to minimize the collection and storage of personal data.
- We encrypt all location data before transmission.
- We do not store exact location histories.
- We never sell your data to third parties.

6. Location Services
- CUZ requires access to your device's location data to detect nearby connections.
- Location access is only active while you are online in the app.
- You can disable location permissions at any time, but doing so will limit CUZ's functionality.
By enabling location access, you consent to the secure and temporary processing of your location data as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, designs, and content within CUZ are the exclusive property of The Only Software Hub (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of CUZ without written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
- CUZ is provided "as is" and "as available".
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- While we use encryption and secure systems, we cannot guarantee absolute protection from all potential risks.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CUZ and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
- Loss of data or privacy breaches beyond our control;
- Misuse of the App by users or third parties.
Your use of CUZ is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through the app.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be effective upon publication within the App or our website. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
